Meliha Perez Halpern
Meliha Perez Halpern is an experienced personal injury lawyer currently barred in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. She serves on the Board of Governors of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC and is a past Co-Chair of the organization's Young Lawyers Committee. Through her work on the committee, Ms. Halpern has worked with St. Anthony's Church in Virginia and provided pro bono legal services. In addition to her work with the DC Trial Lawyers Association, Ms. Halpern is a member of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, among several other profession organizations.
Educating clients to ensure they make informed decisions defines Meliha Perez Halpern's approach to every case she handles. In her personal injury practice, she works side-by-side with her clients, helping them understand complex legal issues and insurance systems so that they know what to expect throughout the legal process and can focus on recovery. Additionally, Ms. Halpern is available to meet with community organizations to discuss legal topics such as insurance coverage, basic traffic laws, and what to do in the event of an accident. By sharing her knowledge she hopes to help individuals and families protect themselves in the future.
Ms. Halpern earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of American Columbus School of Law, where she participated in the moot court program and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. After graduating, she served as the Treasurer of the National Capital Area Alumni Chapter. Ms. Halpern earned her B.A from the George Washington University
